The "Stray Cats Hot Rod Association" was established to bring together people who share an interest in modified and classic cars and trucks.
The association is comprised of members whose vehicles fall into a narrow category. Our focus is on early model "Hot Rods" and "Classic" cars and trucks representing model years prior to 1975.
Members and applicants must own or be in the process of building one of these vehicles and must possess a personal interest and knowledge of early model hot rods and classic cars and trucks.
The Club reserves the right to exclude anyone whose current vehicle or project is not within the scope and intent of the Club.
Applicants must be sponsored by a member in good standing and must attend a meeting with their sponsor to meet the general membership. The general membership will then vote on the perspective applicant at the next meeting and the applicant will be informed of the result by letter. There will be a six month probationary period from the date of their acceptance and they may be expelled from the association during this period by the general membership if they give good cause to do so.
The club membership dues for new and delinquent members is $55 for the first year. Annual dues after this period is $40 and are due in January. Dues will be considered delinquent if not received by the first meeting in March.
If a member is married, their spouse is also considered a member with full voting rights.
Member vehicles must be safe and in good working order with current state inspection stickers.
The "Stray Cats Hot Rod Association" sponsors a Rod and Custom car show each year in the Fall. In additon, "Cruise In's" are held on the second Saturday of the month from May through September, from 6-9pm, weather permitting. The "Cruise In's" are held in the parking lot of the Harley Davidson in Roanoke Rapids right beside I-95. We will continue to update this site with information on the Fall show as details become available. Please check back soon.
